kidversusfood: Five Guys, Mystic, Connecticut We went to Five Guys for the first time when our whole family went to Mystic for the weekend. It was a nice looking place that was all red and white.  It has all kinds of pictures on the walls from magazines that tells you all the places that they have Five Guys. Daddy works at a magazine too.  I remember New York and Washington DC - that’s all I remember of the places. The restaurant sells burgers, hotdogs and french fries.They also give you lots of peanuts. I had a hotdog and it was a really good one.  I had ketchup on it.  They also give you a huge bag of french fries that are good. Daddy had a big cheeseburger and Mommy had a little cheeseburger. Five Guys must like their french fries because they have bags of potatoes all around.  Now that I know about Five Guys I saw one in New York with my babysitter. http://www.fiveguys.com/

When I first started this Tumblr, I thought I would update it more often about the places I went to eat, and especially places I went to drink coffee. 

That didn’t really happen. I mainly view other peoples Tumblrs and only post when I’m really avoiding work.

I finished sending out cover letters and decided I was hungry. We had no leftovers in the fridge. I picked at some lettuce that mom had washed the night before. I wanted to eat something unhealthy, like a bowl full of pasta. I thought I shouldn’t do that, I need protein. Then I had an aha moment. Make my own version of carbonara. Elbow macaroni, 1 egg, 1 soujouk (Armenian dried sausage) and a little butter. Carbs + Protein= Happy  End result: it was yummy, but not as good as when mom makes it. The egg scrambled a little. Dad ate a whole bowl and said it was good.  While I was cooking, Dad looked into the fridge and also picked at the lettuce.
